The following reports detail how the current GPO business model compromises the cost and quality of healthcare for American patients. It has been shown that eliminating the GPO safe harbor from the Medicare anti-kickback statute will result in approximately $2.5 billion annually to the Federal Government. Furthermore, many of the reports below highlight the fact that GPOs are less concerned about quality care and more concerned about generating revenues for themselves.
